SABRE officially finished on 31st May 2021 and the team met for the final time on 16th June to celebrate this very successful 4-year long project.
Considerable achievements were made during this time in terms of advancing our understanding of the emissions reductions achievable with rotor morphing (5-11%) and the maturity of the morphing technologies which underly the 6 rotor blade morphing concepts we developed. The success of the project was recognised and commended by the EU Project Co-ordinator at the recent Final Review Meeting.
It has been an immensely enjoyable project to be involved with for all concerned and we very much hope to continue this work and further advance the technologies developed in the future. In the meantime we would encourage you to watch our project video and also to read the brief overview of the project provided by our SABRE Leaflet of Final Results.
We hope to see you again soon – watch this space!
